Is there a codec that is very user friendly, also on

Into the matter, generations of DVD producers ;-)
As a good compromise between control and price are generally considered the MPEG2 Encoder Canopus Procoder Express, Cinamacraft Basic TMPGEnc and MainConcept MPEG Encoder. Freeware is not ran since.
Benefits you can with the MDVL all, you'll just have to export a DV AVI from MVDL and feed into one of the standalone encoder. Then you get a DVD suitable MPEG2.
Can you MPEG2 without re-coding process in MVDL DVDs? If you do not even need a DVD authoring program. Which depends heavily off of the planned features (menus). More daz, if desired, if eintrudelt the next Anwtort ...

a useful and simple authoring program with a good built-in MPEG2 encoder (namely, the concept of Main) is for example the 'Movie Factory' of Ulead. The previous version of the current latest version 4 (= vers 2!)

In the Ulead products are so consistently MainConcept encoder built into license - which version is always difficult to say when, because the encoder is the sum of several components that have synonymous verschwiedene both versions.
Especially with old analog equipment, you can certainly improve the results when the material is pretreated halt, and renovated a bit (about entrauscht, and then maybe a little nachschärft). You must test while sowas forever, because depends on the source material - but the encoder is only the latest step in the processing chain.
And then you should definitely go with sufficiently high data rates when encoding.
Better than the standalone encoder integrated into the Ulead product versions of the MC-encoder there are definitely. Who's that what looks better, should have a look at the Procoder Express. A burning and authoring program but still needed further.

Comparison of the direct Canopus Procoder Express cuts in my experience, actually have a little bit of better s.als integrated MainConcept. The difference from the original DV-if anything-is noticeable only in very critical clips. Wish you the best possible DVD quality, you should invest ¬ 60. The 'Movie Factory' (and presumably the synonymous
Powertools) can moreover Canopus MPEG2 files to import and process without Neurendern.

At best this would be the program Canopus Procoder Express. Bingo. The encoder in Procoder Expmacht from your DV-AVI is a MPEG2 file. To ensure that this will of every DVD player is played, incidentally, are the normalized observed DVD specifications and accordingly in Procoder Expeinzustellen.
