Infoseite // PC does not recognize Handycam! Why? Have firewire!

I bought a Handycam "Sony DCR-PC120E, Firewire cable.
Now wants to play the movies on my PC!
Unfortunately, my PC does not recognize the camera??
Please help!

1. What operating system do you have? (XP with SP2?)
2. Did you play or dub?
3. Do you have a capture program?

Hello hoike!

To play back your videos s.PC You have to dub them as I know only in the PC.
To this end, there are many Programs (capture), which here in the forum you will get lots of info (Search: "capture").

To take the very first test (and only for as little s.sich this program is good!) You can the Windows Movie Maker.

If it does not work out, here in the forum search for "SP2", because that there are frequent problems.

Fits into the camera and the calculator.
ulead demo version of video program -
The main problem is that my calculator when connecting the cable, the camera does not recognize!
Weiss absolutely not what I do!

... Unfortunately, the problem is still not fixed!
About the USB cable to the calculator immediately recognizes the camera only with the Firewire cable is doing nothing!
Have so far implemented all the tips.
What now?

Hi.
When I flips the camera via USB-connected everything properly, ie
pictures and videos of internal memory is available.
When I plug in the Firewire cable from the calculator, the camera does not recognize!
Cable is 4pol./6pol.
is it perhaps because?
Videos of the cartridges can not play because the computer does not respond!
