Frage von horstinger:Hello professionals,
Yesterday I got my new camera (DCR AC42), and still I could not see a single film on the Calculator. Problem:
Connected via USB. All of the CD drivers etc installed. Everything by the book.
I Hook up the camera in the recording mode is detected it and I could use it as a webcam, it stands as the "Sony Digital Imaging Video" in Device Manager. So, I see the images live on the PC.
But I want to dub the films into the PC, and for this I turn the camera in the PLAY / EDIT mode. And that's it: The PC no longer recognizes it, it disappears from the Device Manager. The game I have now tried on 3 PCs, imer with the same result.
Synonymous've already tried your tip, to operate it, and while the PC can boot without success.
Camera broken back? Or is there any hope?
Greeting
Uli
Antwort von VolkerS:
Hello,
the problem is probably because the cam is connected via USB. Films are normally transferred through the Firewire port on the PC. Then the camera will probably synonymous of your PC and can be detected according to the device control of your capture or control cutting program.

Thanks for the quick answers, that's name of this blast. And I propose to me half the night to the ears! Why is nothing like this in the manual?
You can connect the camcorder with a USB - or an i.LINK cable s.den computer. <details>
The connection with a USB cable is convenient when you picture-and sound data of a tape to a computer, files of a "Memory Stick" on a computer, or want to copy files to a "Memory Stick".
Videos are then no image data?
I'll soon get the i-Link / Firewire port and then hopefully still be happy with the camera.
THANK YOU!
Antwort von VolkerS:
Nope, image data (single) images. Videos are usually referred to as a film or media files.
There are Firewire PC cards for the PCI slot, if you do a little bit careful, you'll get one in the same bundle with a usable video-editing program.

I think that does not even know what they want: After further study it states:
You can connect the camcorder with a USB - or an i.LINK cable s.den computer.
The connection with an i.LINK cable is convenient when you want to picture-and sound data of a cassette copy. Huh? Where is the difference? So just come on it after THE Description None that we MUST have a Firewire connection.
Bin ja mal gespannt, but say definitely notice what is going on.

This is presumably due, among other things synonymous s.der Translation:)
Experience shows:
Image data (Stillimage) and streaming (webcam) via USB, i-Link films ...
The USB connector would be quite inappropriate synonymous. The available data rate and the whole "building" are not optimally suited for capturing movies.
