Frage von anton-1:Hi,
Just wanted to ask you if you have experience with Panasonic 3CCD AJD200.
For, once again to buy Canon xl1 to have much fear.

The camera works with the DVCPRO format, which is read almost only of Panasonic tape machines (and I think a SONY recorder). It also only works in 4:3 SD, so is actually not more up to date.
I have worked long with the camera in the 90s. At that time she was a real workhorse, no-frills, onboard, but even without ND filters. The audio input can be only after opening the case by a DIP switch of MIC to LINE level switch, not a Firewire port and all that kind of antics ... also you need V-Mount Batteries and corresponding accessories.
So much for that ....

Hi
anton-1, I wanted you to have your request
here s be. The "s" behind them is important. Better would be just the XL2.
But I advise you all again to decide now of buying from an XL1, as you already grasp hold themselves. But I still decided synonymous rate of the Panasonic AJD200 off a lot. How are you, then here come on it?
Look anton-1, it is not on the outside, but on the inner values. This is so synonymous for cameras. And the plug now synonymous in much smaller HD camcorders. Whether it's HDV or AVCHD.
Even if not so much pounce.
I do not know now how much money you can spend. But you want to buy a camera for reasonable. Used either (Oops!) Or new.
New to the 1000 ¬ (ie Konsumerklasse) and as would be the Canon HDV HV-20/30 or SonyHDR-HC7 / 9 You can compare this in slashCAM-Datenbank.

But think of it: not the size of the camera is crucial. But what you make of the recorded images.
And the 4x3 format and DV is now really no longer needed.

... Buy Panasonic 3CCD AJD200 Canon xl1 ... again, I fear too much ... What did you do with the camera at all before? At the latest, if you do not just go to a museum collection, but do you really want to work with these devices (and possibly even commercially?) Would, I neither synonymous nor XL1 D200 seriously consider.
The latter is certainly a step above the Canon settle (eg real shoulder design, S / W-tube viewfinder), but overall it would be no progress for you: it has only synonymous 1/3-Inch-CCDs who do not even PAL Resolutionerreichen and - in order to emphasize again that what Matthias has already touched on - you need an additional DVCPRO Player, because the camera has no way to output their digital photographs.
All this is nice to put it as a piece of art history in the cabinet, but not a pleasure when you work with it still would have.
