I'm just about to despair
My DMR E55 recognizes a few weeks ago,
almost no DVD-Ram and other DVD's no longer synonymous.
At first it was so he had to try 4-5 times to be able to capture the DVD.
Now he even reads them anymore.
I gave it to my dealer, who has cleaned it and checked the laser.
Taken after 3 weeks and again he has 1 time recognized the DVD and the second time again not.
So taken back again after 3 days with a different DVD-RAM to the garage and lo and behold DVD 3-4 times changed and always recognized.
Back programmed home program I wanted to see me yesterday, and DVD is not recognized.

have a DMR EH 52 with the same problem. The unit is 7 months old now and came straight of the repair - lt. Schein ok everything. Blank DVDs not recognized at home (3 different brands tested). Has anyone the same fate and can come up with a solution?

I have a similar problem:

I have now, three of Panasonic DVD / HDD-/DVD-Recorder (of the first to the current generation) and the number of failures s.drei I can count the fingers. In all cases it was the fault (the Nichtaufnehmenwollen) by a reset (press the power button for some time) will be resolved.

I just got the same problem.
The first mistake that is not rausrückt of the DVD recorder - is known - the "Self Check" bug - it must be replaced the drive - it could be a series of small errors on some Panasonic units say.
I got the bug now, every year, just synonymous for the first time the second error (Tina). The second error of the timer is set correctly, the LCD of the recorder is completely black and runs but after the set time, of course, not with the recording. The self check error is already known at Panasonic. Actually, the laser with self check check "desperate" the DVD - to s.end "No DVD display. At the beginning of this error is s.and on, after a few weeks almost every time has been inserted when a blank or if it is to start. Cleaning DVD brings nothing.
Sounds strange, perhaps, for me the error takes almost exactly one year later. So DVD recorder purchased December 2005, December 2006 "Selfcheck" and now again. At that time I was in the warranty, now it's a goodwill thing, because I'm just after the warranty, and exactly the same error occurs again. Na's see ....
The black LCD, I had never before, the drift is now with the Selfcheck failure to cooperate - that is completely blackout. So I have basically no experience.
I should like to gut 1 years to keep my DVD recorder, and then a Blue Ray recorder (if they're hopefully afford to purchase - to).
I have to say, a little I am small entäuscht already, these things do not hold 10 years, but so often defective devices?
