I once got a question for the bitrate, which will have specified for this camcorder with 17mbit / s. if I correct conversion, that would be yes and some 2.1 mb / s, correct? Accordingly, I would then take about an hour of material memory to 8 gb. (2,1 mb * 60 * 60 = 7560mb) can someone tell me whether the statement is true so far? when the then so would I need the theory merely synonymous with the card in about 3-4 mb / s write it?
is actually specified bitrate then only for visual or for visual and tone?
would be grateful for an answer (it goes in the bottom line is whether I should buy or hs SD300, since I 120gb memory, in the fall sitmmt my bill, not at all needed. I come with the SD300 and an 8gb card which me enough away much cheaper)

Yes, if the bill is true in theory. Note only that memory cards are just as hard disks after formatting no more 8 GB in size, but "only" 7.62 GB. In any case, 8 GB should be enough to save a little more than 58 minutes to be able to.
Please also do not write many devices continuos but in blocks. That means it will always be a part of the images in the cache and then written in one go on the map () if only because of the interframe compression, and the GOP. A map of the class 4 (ie 4 MB / s) should be sufficient, although arithmetically, but I would rather work with a 6 to a certain buffer to have.
What cards for your camera are likely to be in the operating instructions are available (and which one can often even in advance to the Manufacturer as a PDF download).

great, many thanks to you both for the quick reply! going with me on jedenfall then a 6 mb / s reach to get to be quite sure that it makes hardly distinguishable before one in price. THANK YOU:)
