Frage von Bousquet:Hello,
My Panasonic NV-DA1 Camera will of my PC (Win XP SP2) does not recognize. The Firewire port on the PC is working on a PCI card.
I connected the camera via a 4Pin-> 6Pin cable because my PC only has this port.
It happens nothing.
If I were the same notebook Camera s.mein then (also Win XP SP2) then it will be immediately recognized. (Cable 4Pin-> 4Pin - my laptop has only this port).
Now I have to get my PC to check out a different camera, also DV, Sony brand. This is the same with cable of my PC instantly and easily recognized.
In summary, I can say that the Firewire port on my PC is OK, the cable is OK, and the firewire output from my Panasonic is OK.
Questions: What could I do? Could it s.Kabel lie ... it is worth another 4 -> 6Pin cable to buy and try? Other suggestions on how I could fix the problem?

Could it s.Kabel lie ...? If you already ask, does it really after the last possibility. It might be that that although prima 4-/6-polige cable to connect the DV camcorder pass has borrowed, but the IR port of your camcorder is not so good with the 4-pin Male harmony? But is very vague.
Otherwise, would come to me only, that several times to read was that some DV camcorder to the PC port s.den difficulties can in principle, but further details are no longer in my memory.
