Is it true, that not even a USB cable or DV cable is included?
Furthermore, no CD, at least with a drive, or simple video editing program?

Apart from the USB cable and you do not need drivers, computer cables often must be purchased separately and if times a "editing software" is included, this is good mostly not much anyway.

On my NV-GS60EG-S has been supplied: power cord, Charger, Power Cable for Camera, CGR-DU06 Battery, Manual, various paperwork (warranty slips, flyers, etc. with accessories) and the cable to connect s.den Television. A DV cable, software and tapes I had to buy extra. USB cable was not supplied and I need not be synonymous, since it anyway just for the webcam function. If you have the camera as a webcam and wants to use expensive, it must not Panasonic-USB cable, but impossible to type of USB Mini-B 5-pin USB Type A drivers needed in Windows XP.

But it seems so often to be the norm.

The demand for cheaper devices (not to be confused with "cheap"), the accompanying accessories in recent years been very much reduced. Previously was a camcorder all-inclusive Battery, Charger and storage media that you go for immediate needs.
