Hi!
Again, a "beginner question" to my new Panasonic SD707.
I had unfortunately little time to test because I had problems with the SDHC card, see my other thread synonymous.
Now I'm flying to New York and s.Sonntag would really start filming with. Which resolution recommends her to film me to shoot with 50p or not?
As far as I understand so far speaks against 50p just that it's not many of editing applications can be processed?

Yes, I would advise you to film in 50p. This is the highest-quality mode, the master of this camera, that is the best possible quality.
Even if a 50p-processing of far only a few editing programs is supported, but must be a reason not to film in 50p. Adobe Premiere handles 50p footage of the action.
Moreover, even if you want the material after "only" want to burn to DVD (ie not HD), you can expect it indeed still down at any time.
Always take the largest possible denominator. You can count down the material at any time and is done quickly. Computing in High-50p is in most cases in the pants and sees no way out comparable.
