My Camera SonyDCR-TRV33E Pinnacle and "understand" good. That was with Pinnacle 9 is not always so. Grausam. Now I want to me a SonyHDR buy-HC7. But fear that Pinnacle "I resent that."

New Camera: No problem, is not synonymous for Pinnacle - yes that runs on the PC, the control is via Firewire. No matter what manufacturer and what Camera. Pinnacle and has had no problems - there's problems when cutting.
New Software: Why spend an additional EUR 330 for something that you do not need? The money you can save.

Variable is the recording format and thus synonymous with the structure of the data: HDV instead of DV. It must be a video editing program course support, because unlike DV HDV can not with any arbitrary x-edit software.
As far as I know (information on the Internet) is Pinnacle Studio 10.8, but to be able to handle HDV.
