Hello together I found nothing that exactly my problem has been an answering.
I have my vhs via scart (no s-video available) and connected the converter box (terratec dig AV 200) and then s.meinen computer via usb. It is used MovieFactory 2 and movie factory 3rd
The picture quality on vhs is ok. s.rechner are totally pixelated and streaky as it reitfilme with many fast movements are purely and zoom out.
has unfortunately can not connect (via the firewire Conveterbox not).
what can I change or do I have to note the quality is better. the computer
: 1.3ghs, 80gig hdd, ram-256ddr

Captures you directly to MPG? If so, then let it be.
I capture the movies to DV AVI and then let the conversion to MPG of my DVD authoring program to do (Encore DVD).
