No idea what's "preference" in terms of PowerDirector MP3. There are a lot of data that can be different. To find the cause, one would have to look at the data files - but you're in time pressure.
The best way you walk the necessary files to WAV and to bring them, if necessary, equal to 16 bits and 48 kHz. A good, easy to use application for such purposes, you find here:
