Frage von WolfgangH:Hello!
For some time, lose Premiere Pro 1.5 when recording individual frames.
Originally I thought I had gotten a defective tape, but that it should not be, because the problem occurs synonymous with other bands.
The failure is synonymous if another (external USB -) hard drive is set as the location. I also have the plates synonymous been defragmented - hilftnix.
Nice and slowly go out of my ideas.
I still suspect ...
1) the Firewire interface: VIA OHCI compliant IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers. Driver Version 5.1.2535.0 (1.7.2001) of Microsoft. The drivers are relatively old, but I've never found anything more recent. Oh yes, I'm working on XP
2) the camcorder SonyDCR-TRV33E. But on the negative that it is not playing so ausschaut as if frames were missing.
3) Perhaps breaks for some reason the speed of the plates. Speaks against the idea that I have it now Plattenprobiert already miut 3 different and the effect occurs everywhere.
Has anyone an idea about this? I would be grateful for tips!
Kind regards Tulln
Wolfgang

Hello Wolfgang,
that the Firewire Drivers is a little older does nothing, because OHCI IEEE1394 and are (thankfully!) does not constantly changing variables.
The capturing an external USB hard drive could come as the cause in question. USB creates a little at random intervals again and again pauses for reflection, which can lead to omitting of images.
Capture times on a trial basis, an internal hard drive (but preferably not on c:).

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the tip. On my laptop, I have unfortunately only the internal C: partition. Here are the dropouts, but just like on my two USB hard disks.
I have been working a half years with this configuration and had no problems so far. The dropouts occur only recently.
Best regards,
Wolfgang

Hello Wolfgang,
You have not accidentally run Windows XP with SP2? SP2 was well known for such errors that occur immediately and sometimes partially after some time of the error-working ...

Hi Mark,
yes, I installed SP2 a few months ago. Until recently, there's no problem even synonymous with it. But unless it is clear that SP2 s.der misery is to blame, I want to spare me a Neuaufsetzen the computer :-(
I now have the two fix packs installed KB904412 and KB 885222nd I got the two synonymous Teiber Avc.sys msdv.sys and replaced, as described here: http://forum.slashcam.de/viewtopic.php?p=119717 # 119,717
The problem persists.
One is for sure synonymous, that it is not s.Premiere, since I made yesterday a capturing experiment with DVIO have, with the same result I did (actually synonymous otherwise expected)
Before I climb back to SP1, I'd like to try the test: If the problem synonymous with another camcorder s.meinem Calculator on? Or is the problem with my camcorder s.einem another calculator? I will ask around my time in my circle of friends, if anyone feels like for this type of scam ...
In any case, Thanks for your support!
Best regards,
Wolfgang

Hello Wolfgang,
Your description, I understand that you going to have a lot of work (put new Calculator). So you would not image software, with the restoration of a previous, working configuration a matter of three clicks and just a few minutes?

Hi Mark,
I make an occasional backup with Acronis TrueImage. However, primarily for a restore after the meltdown. Fortunately, the has not yet occurred :-)
The last backup is now again a few weeks ago, and now I've installed a few things. I would have to follow suit after the restore again. And if the problem really lies s.SP2 helps me to restore anything, since the SP2 at least a year on my calculator is located and since then has done a lot on the plate.
Now I have another idea: Perhaps we can XP/SP2 parallel to the partition with a stripped XP/SP1 set up exclusively for capturing? I still have 20 GB on C: free, which should be sufficient.
Now I would think only the name of the tool, with the later one partition can be set up ...
And then it turned out that the cause is not s.SP2, can free up the space back quickly, without the current XP/SP2 configuration must be touched.
Best regards,
Wolfgang

You would not be the first to establish a XP/SP1-Partition for capturing (eg here:
Sony firewire transfer problems). ;-)
I wish you a good start for 2006!
Antwort von WolfgangH:
Hi Mark,
I will address in a few days of the experiment with a separate partition, and the success (hopefully) report or failure.
Also of me all the best for the new year and thanks for the tips!

With tools like Partition Magic of PowerQuest, you can easily under running Windows you create a new partition.
I installed only synonymous vür video editing, a second XP, which is synonymous not connect to the internet, so you can save the resource hog like antivirus or firewall, and can trim the system entirely for speed.

Hello!
I can now new to report my problem, namely that it is now solved :-)
Unfortunately I can not understand with certainty how it came to correct. Just this: I have with msconfig a few services that are started each time at startup, and which I consider inappropriate (think messenger, etc.) are deactivated. I also xpclean with my registry "clean" and then with regcompact compressed.
Any of these actions should probably have meant that the capturing again is straightforward, without losing frames. Thus, synonymous to set up a second partition for the time being lapsed.
Since there are reports that some firewire problems * * suddenly on a previously working system, I think it is quite possible that there is a connection with the Registry. Yes that is constantly changing, and over time tend to by various large-scale installations.

Wolfgang

Hello,
I have a problem synonymous, as described of you! I have Windows XP, SP1!
The problem occurs when I usually only in long shots. But I noticed no difference, neither in sound nor in the Picture!?
And if (1 / 2 /...) frames have been omitted so far I have not thought ... : - /
Love Greetings

Antwort von MiXMaster:
Hi Constantin,
the problem was with me regardless of the length of the recording. Usually more than 1 frame was gedropped. This happened several times per sequence, and when you play then you could see very clearly the problems, unfortunately. But I hope that the nightmare is now over for the next time.
Liebe Grüße,
Wolfgang
