Hello,
I ask myself the question just how good is Premiere 6.5 for the present time yet ...?
The alternative would probably Premiere Elements o. Magix Video Deluxe. (Coal for Premiere Pro, Vegas, Avid o. I do not have unfortunately)
Linux with movies, Jahshaka, Cinelerra & co. I find very interesting, but I was still afraid of these Programs may unfortunately not in competition with the established INTERMEDIATE-tools or is there already had good experiences? Has anyone cut quite some movies in Linux / with marked effects?
I still have almost no practical experience with editing software, but what I need is essentially the following:
- Activation of MiniDV-Cam (Panasonic NV-GS 400)
- (Good trim, fade, etc. as professional work) (synonymous 16:9)
- Good color correction
- Keying
- Sound-tracks (possibly synonymous surround support) would be synonymous Nett basic sound editing
- Good opportunities for special effects
In summary, one might say, I generally want to work towards feature film production.
I am a very ambitious user (I can grind your almost everywhere), but high standards synonymous s.flüssiges work and have a technical background (that is synonymous with coming patches, add-on tools, plugins and so clear).
Over a few good tips, recommendations, I would be delighted.

So I cut to Premiere 6.0, After Effects to reprocess Picture, Sound Audition to rework. Manufacturer itself, but 3 Programs. All of them einknüpfbar in the workflow.
In addition, you can not do everything in synonymous Video de Luxe.

How is the stability of Premiere 6 in general?
And no one has the Linux Video Programs with the Windows versions and can be compared to make a statement on the practicality and comparability?

terms Premiere 6.5 does not answer is often synonymous answer. Look for Comparison me, how come the people, for example cope with Pinnacle Studio. There you will find plenty of threads in the Pinnacle heading. ;-)
BTW: I have Premiere 6.5 DV editing on my PC and it runs very stable.

I could say anything negative about 6.5 synonymous, only that it's just not the MS codec as it does the luma shifts. I wanted to watch once synonymous but the Pro version because it requires I use XP and Win2k.

But you can use any codec ... need it only if () and pretend to buy and install the Premiere project settings. ;-)

Is already a while ago that I had with the AP 6.5 Problem and other DV codecs employed. But the matter was not quite soo trivial, not in vain because people have special codec-swap used tools.
And at least for older versions of the MainConcept DV codecs in AP 6.5 was this rather unstable.

Yes, Wolfgang, which we have already sufficiently discussed elsewhere, and I have not done it. As you have already mentioned there is something inevitable stress and I can not use at the moment.
