Frage von xlive:Hello,
would have more a question relating to the export settings in Premiere CS4.
Movies have a product cut for the PC, which was published as avi. Unfortunately, the avi file with 1.6 GB of times get pretty big. Well of course I look for the best export setting that gives me both a good image quality and the other hand a minute, for a 5th Movies, reasonable file size.
What codec and what settings should I choose to hinzubekommen it?
The following export settings I have made.
Format: Microsoft AVI
Video Codec: Intel IYUV codec
Width: 480
Height: 270
Frame Rate 25
Halbbildtyp: Progressive
Aspect ratio: Square pixels (, 1.0)
Synonymous times have tested the other codecs that allow me to these settings. Like
- Cinepark codec radius of
- Mircosoft RLE
- Microsoft Video 1
- Uncompressed UYVY 422 8bit
- V210 10-bit YUV
But from these is then the avi file of the image quality not as good, or the size of a lot bigger.

First, you should tell them what you want to do with the movies: Archive, CD, DVD, internet??
Antwort von xlive:
The avi is intended as a native format, it will be a resulting flv created for the Internet. The customer should, however, advance the video to watch on the video editing and image quality. And because he takes great care on the image quality I was expecting it as avi.
The question is then raised again and again, if the starting material (; min mov file) for a length of 11th approximately 880 MB of why this is min avi file at 5. then 1.6 GB big?
Of course, this is again synonymous with the combined compression and the codec with which the mov file was created. For the customer sees it but only once so that the shorter video with a smaller resolution is the same image quality twice as large.
The question that arises me, there are in the export settings on (the codec, file size and image quality) for the avi still some optimization options?

Then create but simply an MPEG 2 file.
Antwort von Jollitop:
Compress AVI worth almost never. As my predecessors have written, I would recommend you to transfer MPEG 2nd If your client can not play (which, because the decoder is missing), just take a little compression with WMV - File is small, the quality is relatively good, and any PC can play it.
However, if there anyway as a final format "will only" be played as an FLV, then give him the whole thing like in this format - so an assessment is certainly s.realistischsten.

Which is nothing to add.

The question is then raised again and again, if the starting material (; min mov file) for a length of 11th approximately 880 MB of why this is min avi file at 5. then 1.6 GB big? Tell the client, the simple truth:
Since the. Mov file as the source material has been delivered already heavily compressed (and only 1.3 MB / s) You have it in order to preserve quality, "hochkopiert" to 5.3 Mb / s. Thus, the customer gets back the best possible quality.
Compress the finished movies for only Kontrollgucken again to it then by a further compression to make. Flv, is sheer nonsense.
Since it would indeed be better if you'd like to give it. Flv to control.
