Then check this for me please times in Task Manager / Processes / Premiere.exe whether Adobe is listed as * 32 or * 64!
Running `s doing synonymous with me, but as a * 32! Am very curious how yours is ...
During installation I have no choice 32/64bit found so I assumed that the CS4 itself recognizes. Now the bad surprise in the Task Manager and the info on the Adobe website!

Sorry, but there is expressly VISTA, XP, and nowhere!
XP64 is definitely ruled out, even here! ->

If someone really Permier CS4 as 64bit (and after checking in Task Manager is running) in XP, then I would like to know how he installed it. I want the synonymous!
Thanks and LG,

Thank you for your info,

I had (Adobe Production Premium CS3, and no 64-bit) running on Windows XP Professional x64. My system: Quad Core CPU with 2.86 GHz, 8GB RAM, etc. ..
I have really only installed to test Windows 7 RC (; which one until I think July 2010 can take full advantage of). And I must say that the RC is running a lot better performance and stablier than the Windows XP x64 (and, although "only" in 32-bit mode)!
Adobe Lightroom (eg, 64-bit version) at synonymous runs better than on the lengths of XP x64.
My Post Office is a bit off topic, but perhaps you should consider an OS change into account. I personally would make me no more XP x64 on it and would recommend it not synonymous, although I almost always had an XP supporter.

Yes, that would be 7 RC, in contrast to XP, of course, the forward-looking operating system! However, I run on my machine synonymous cutting a lot of other software and I think that it will take some time until everything is supported of 7 RC.
Of the 64bit Vista would support an alternative, but I just do not like Vista and I'd like to omit. Here I want no synonymous XP - Vista - 7 RC incite religious war .... I just want to CS4 running on XP 64bit and would like to leave with my post to learn whether the possible despite negative Adobe Systemrequierments is.
To all XP 64bit users: Please check it as described in your Task Manager and tell me about it if your really on CS4 runs * 64 or so like me very much to * 32 -> Thank you!

CS4 runs the only case in the "64bit mode" of Lightroom as Photoshop and Acrobat.
I myself have Vista 64bit with the Adobe stuff and actually positively excited.
Edit: my mistake, After Effects will not run in 64bit mode. Had only in my head, because I had noticed s.Leistung after the change of XP32 to Vista64 a clear pros.

If I understand this correctly ..... just Lightroom and After Effects running as 64bit on XP 64? And CS5 is synonymous again run under XP 64bit? Comic logic, why are the other CS4 applications on XP 64 and omitted in CS5 they will run again as 64bit?? -> But THANK YOU!
I miss the answers: Yes, with me running as 64bit / NO, not synonymous with me ......
Please further experiences!

For the Windows version of CS4 Production
Premium, Microsoft Windows XP with
Service Pack 2 (Service Pack 3 recommended) or
Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Ultimate
or Enterprise with Service Pack 1 required
(and only for 32-bit versions of Windows XP or
32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista
certified). Does the PDF ...
The way I see CS4 is officially not compatible with XP64. But if that can refute someone ... I would be interested.

I had on my "Altrechner 'first CS4 on XP64, which was not very stable. On my fresh hardware is now running Win7 64 and I must say that it is Windows, I've been waiting. Zero problems with anything, fast and stable.

If I understand correctly that the CS4 synonymous with you only runs as * 32 on a XP64? But Photoshop as * 64 This would be consistent with the Adobe Systemrequierments?

Can not I read somewhere what the program is running on how many bits? Yes, CTRL + ALT + DEL -> Task Manager -> processes.
There will be a 64-bit system processes that run as a 32-bit, marked with a * 32nd
Processes that have run as 64-bit, no labeling; (only for 64-bit OS!)

I used to work with Vista 64 because it ran faster than XP32.
However, I've been a good month on the road with Windows 7 64 bit and it does not crash as before with Vista.
I can only recommend in collaboration with Adobe and Edius!

If I understand correctly that the CS4 synonymous with you only runs as * 32 on a XP64? But Photoshop as * 64 Clear. Premiere CS4 is a 32-bit program, Photoshop CS4 is a 64-bit program.

Not so true! CS4 is not 32bit only! It runs as a 32 AND 64 bit, depending on the operating system! As far as we have now found .....

that he has meant. photoshop is the only 64-bit program in cs4. all others are 32 bit, with aftereffects bit on "64 is optimized," which may mean always synonymous
