Hello,
I hope that this forum was a "new" is a helping hand ...
I bought a XL1s to filming in the fall so in Africa, of course, I'm just here to try everything and me (become familiar with the camera on, it is a test, why not just HD synonymous, synonymous when it is contemporary).
When importing into Premiere CS4 with the default settings MiniDV a rather mediocre picture quality comes out, it looks pretty good size at 50%, but not at 100%.
My mistake? Or am I expecting too much of MiniDV?

Test with HDV. You will indeed synonymous shooting in HDV. Take HDVSplit if rumzickt premiere.

Here is a XL1s of the speech - which does not even know what to HDV. Or to let my memory?

When capturing DV footage of the data is transferred as they were recorded. It may worsen anything.

for this time I allowed myself to be deceived most of the resolution of computer monitors.
on a TV set (; also lcd / tft) sees the picture look great.
verstehenn I did not quite do it, but maybe it is connected with the half-frames?

At 100% representation of both fields are always displayed simultaneously for all other magnifications only one field, and indeed that which in the sequence settings as "is first defined.
