Frage von scrooge:Salü together
recently I am working with Premiere Pro CS3. Previously, I had Premiere Pro 1.5 is used. There, I had no performance problems.
I know that the hardware requirements of CS3 are higher than those of 1.5
I am NOT with HDV, but still with the good old DV.
I find it strange phenomenon as follows:
The video playback from the timeline is unnecessary - synonymous with several audio - and video tracks. However, the picture stutters in certain intervals of a few seconds. Then it again next redundant.
The following info to my PC:
AMD Sempron 3000 +, 1.8 GHz
1 GB RAM
WinXP Home SP 2
ATI Radeon X1950 GT, but as an AGP
According to Benchmark, the hard disks quickly enough. Media files are stored on another disk than Windows + premiere.
I already have several parallel processes (firewall, etc.) off.
At what point would you start, to increase performance?

Hello Hartmut,
as from the hollow HAnd, your system without really knowing ...
... I would try with more memory.
In my system, XP SP2, Intel P4, PP3, plug 3GB DDR RAM.

Hi Rob,
thank you for the tip.
My Task Manager tells me that Premiere uses 340 MB of RAM. I count all running processes together, then I am still under 500 MB.
This is why I am not so sure whether it could be the RAM, or you can not check it?
Has anyone another idea what could be the reason?
Incidentally it can run on my notebook unnecessary. This is a dual-core Intel system with 2GB of RAM, but only with an Intel GMA 950 chip, which not so dolle grades received.
