Hello,
If I want to open a file in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, it hangs the program.
I have Windows XP and Service Pack 2, unfortunately, until yesterday, with the automatic updates. After I found that a so-called "Software Distribution Service 2.0 (Microsoft SP2 today) night at 3 clock auto did an update on my PC, I disabled this feature for automatic updates.
I can in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 File no longer Öff. Result: The program simply hangs. System recovery did not work ( "system restore incomplete, it was assumed no change s.PC"). Super. Thanks, Microsoft.
Has anyone a solution for this problem?
If I then google, I only find people who also have a problem with Microsoft's software distribution service 2.0. I would be very grateful to you for any tip.

That is absolutely correct. If you want to cut anything, no way with Service Pack 2, Internet uploads. I know that now at least. Well, too late ...
So the launch window is already gone, I'm right in the program there. It opens, as always, I can even double click the avi files in my project window (which are already there and do not have to be imported) (After a 1 second pause yesterday was not there) opens the doubleclicked then clip in the Monitor window. This 1 second delay synonymous happens when I try to play the clip with my keyboard shortcuts, eg "L" or space bar. That was not before.
Rudimentary are going even the cut. But now what I want to import by double-clicking or via the menu, comes the little sanduhr and nothing works anymore. Program is not responding. Not even open the file window disappears.
Do you know how to slap the latest SP2 again?

Do you know where something is coincidentally? Had "looked everywhere" and so far found nothing. So other bills synonymous Programs except Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 of this bl ... the automatic Windows update to be affected, as I have read from other forum contributions.
