Know the problem well and am sorry to say,
remove reverb does not work. Hall is the mix of the room is in the air crossing of the O-sound vibrations and sound of wall, floor and ceiling. The recorded sound then looks something like a wild zusammengeknäulter Wool.
This effect can be only through well-placed mics in close proximity to the bypass source. Sorry
