What I usaus my own experience in the Kruger Park would recommend are UV filter in front of the lens (it should always be) and the camera breaks in filming in a dust-tight bag or suitcase stuck better. In extreme cases, eg if you are in the dust plume of an advance driving SUV film, it's advisable, however, the Camera an extra protection to spendier. A plastic bag, covered with s.den openings, is simple, cheap and perfectly adequate.
