Hello!
I bought an Aiptek Pocket DV AHD Z700. This captures video in MOV format and h.264. I now have a holiday and want to edit that video rotated with Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9.0 Platinum. When importing a video file into Vegas will be transferred but only the picture and no soundtrack. As I was told by Google, Vegas has problems with the h.264 codec ... that is true, what can I do? Anyone know a converter to convert the files to Lossless? Have found in 1280 * 720 @ 30 and partially 60fps recorded.

The container is MOV? So Quicktime?
Then please install the latest version of Quicktime on your PC.
And no, Vegas is just one of the few Programs which makes hardly any problems with h264.

Yes exactly. Mov. When importing gibts simply no audio track.
Audio mpeg4aac seems to be.

In AAC Vegas does have problems though, especially if it is a raw AAC stream is (; and not) about an MP4 container.
If AIPTEK as cooks his own thing then perhaps comes around a remuxing the files.

I already have QuickTime installed. So with the MPEG 4 Audio Vegas is definitely not clear, would probably convert all files with MP3 audio or MPEG2.

Out before you and her are converting, try:
1. File: Rename to *. mp4 extension instead of *. mov
2. Yamber use (; complicated, but the mp4 files should be of Vegas can be read)

I am with my next film project mittlweile ... I have (all MPEG videos in a common format, MPEG Audio Layer 2 with MPEG2) format. The work was not a single fight. Vegas has hanged himself just about every 5 minutes (; ended no feedback), or with exceptions. Sometimes a project ran by the store no longer open (; well "during the current operation encountered an error") or after the move of project files that clung to the program set to a new location. This was partly to insert a clip instead of the images on the timelier to see only rit. I'm just srätseln and trial and error. I've used in my project converted a few Youtube videos in various formats, which include already some problems in bereitetetn (; to see any picture etc). Can such files, with which Vegas can not avoid such errors might cause? Or the fault may be synonymous in the formatted movie files from the H.264 MOV with aac audio?
