Frage von Manuel:hello, I have the following problem:
I want a video on recorders, using tv card to record on the rechenr. I have connected the recorders with a SCART to s-video adapter s.den s-video input of my tv card (Terratec Cinergy 1400 DVB-T).
if I record the video with virtual dub I will always have a black image.
anyone knows what I do wrong or what I have to make

Classic question ...
The most likely source of error is the "scart to s-video adapter".
There are those for the signal direction SCART to S-Video and for the direction of the S-Video to SCART and reversible. The wrong direction for the S-Video and SCART-connected do not work. When RCA for S-video is the same.
The wiring of SCART and S-Video cable is found in the FAQ
http://www.kabelfaq.de/ and auditors with a single pass you could traverse the existing adapter (which of the devices disconnect !)...
Another possibility is that Virtualdub principle, not with the TV card (may well at Haupauge, search in the forums ...) or that VirtualDub has the wrong capture settings.
Can you with another video program pictures, for example, with Windows Movie Maker or with CaptureFlux to mention free time Programs to ...
Good luck

If your VCR is no S-video (color) s.Scart signal provides output that helps the best adapter, nothing. This is the case with most devices that do not have the S-Video jack. Either you s.Deiner then used the video card (yellow) RCA input or a supplied RCA Hosiden adapter. It is then on the side of the card is not a standard-compliant S-Video input but with a special vendor-specific assignment of the connector.
