Frage von Sonata:Hello,
after I've now been 3 days and countless hours in various forums (synonymous here) compatriots had my problem and I still can not get to grips with that, I hope you can help me.
I have assembled a new PC. The mainboard has a Firewire port and a port s.Backpanel inside, directly on the board.
If I have my Handycam via firewire cable with one of the two Connections associate will not be recognized.
Camera and cables can be excluded as the cause because they s.einem other PC function correctly.
I have all the advice from the articles followed, but nothing happens. Habe mir extra even bought a different cable, but as synonymous doing nothing.
I thought then that maybe some device drivers and interfere with each other and therefore have complete my extra hard drive reformatted and reinstalled WinXP synonymous.
Now have a kind of "virgin" system, where currently only the operating system is located.
Despite all the connections such as "dead"
I hope you can help me, the problem in the years to come.
Thank you ever.

If the interface in Control Panel?
Antwort von Granny S.:
No, because it will not be displayed.
Normally it is already recognized, if I turn on. Then she instantly appears on the taskbar, at least in my old PC.
I had read that it is with the Service Pack 2 problems will be. So yes, I had only the pure WinXP without SP2 installed.
Nevertheless, it will never be displayed or recognized.
Covered synonymous, the two Firewire Connections possibly broken, but it would be a coincidence if both would be ruined.
In addition, all other connections are working properly.
I'm really slow s.verzweifeln.

Sometimes the IEEE1394 interface is not enabled in bios, I would first check.
Antwort von Granny S.:
I've already done, then it is activated.
In the Device Manager are the following entries:
Under IEEE 1394 Bus host controller is: Texas Instruments OHCI-compliant IEEE 1394 host controller
Under network adapters is: 1394 Netzweradapter
On my old PC was in a VIA Host Controller
Could it be that because the cause is?
How can I replace the host?
Antwort von Granny S.:
So it looks like the work with TI controllers are not so right.
If you're a plug Pletz spolltest You've released the TI in the bios and disable a VIA card.
Google is you like a lot of articles about TI Host eject, but no where drinsteht - Hurray it works - Nevertheless, you should because you ransack times and if necessary a few tests.
Antwort von Granny S.:
okay, thanks.
I'll try my luck.
