Hi Folks,
I once again a serious problem that has brought me yesterday to despair.
Had with a SonyFX-1000 (; on Sony Premium tape) and filmed the data was imported via firewire. I have to import (the Programs VideoStudio Pro X2 as well as the latest version of Sony Vegas, using trial version).
For both programs, the data are not properly imported.
There are many errors in the import footage which dropped frames are similar. Ie time jumps in the Picture and sometimes "pixelated image lines.
In my opinion, however, can exclude the dropped frames, because the material not see on the camera is working properly.
In Vegas, I imported the material 2x:
1x and 1x as m2t directly mpg - the problem is the same
Possible source of error 1) The Fire Fire Cable
I have recently bought yesterday - it is gilded with 4-pin to 4-pin connectors
(; but rather unlikely that the fault lies there or not?)
Possible errors 2) the hardware
I bought an extra one for DV editing Amilo Xi 3650 BluRay. This has a 2Duo Core T9400 2.53 GHz, 4 GB Ram and a NVIDIA GForce 9600MGT card with 512 MB GDDR3 VRAM.
I have been with a 3 years old of a Calculator FX-1 HD import data - because the problem was similar, because he certainly something was lame (and no Core Duo Calculator! - AMD PC 2400). However, the aberrations were not nearly as often! (or perhaps just 10% of the current)
Possible source of error 3) Vista
Sorry, was just on the laptop Vista.
Could it be that this causes problems? if so what can I do, however (; without installing XP)
Possible errors 4) Timecode
In all Imports and two cassettes of the time code was easy Async. I have the tapes for the recording but never before or rewound.
For Capturn I have both tapes rewound each entirely ....
When you import all the other Programs such as virus scanners were out.
Would be super if you can help me!

I'm sorry, this is no answer, but I have exactly the same problem only with the difference that I have full version sony vegas Pro 8 and windows xp.

Sure you mean (dropped frames, or something like that), because "drop frames" are time corrections timecode eg 29.97 (; frames / s) to correct s.The real time and have nothing with dropped frames or image content to do.
But to your problem:

The FX1000 writes an error protection mechanisms in the TS, which can be read of the camera and thus properly generate images.
These mechanisms are stripped by the Capture program only, but not evaluated, resulting faulty images.
But that means that the camera may have already generated the error caused by dirty or worn heads or asynchronicities.
The errors are left out in the camera (only, or covered over).
I do not now whether the camera has an analog output, if so, once controlled, whether the errors because they may be worth.

So I got a really lame calculator has a value of 320 ¬ New bought six months ago, I capture to my 1080i material via Firewire in perfect quality of my HC9. (; 1080i, 25Mbit) Well, I do not somehow think that it is see at weak hardware. I capture via V'ideo Magix Deluxe 15 or e sent with Sony software, Picture browser, or as the means. I have only 1 single pixel views. I use (synonymous, the same cassettes as you Have synonymous 4GB Ram; be with me but only 3.3 for Vista uses 32)

Unfortunately I have to get my posting back to the top.
Unfortunately I still have the same problems with the HDV capture with my Amilo. (; last test Fx-1000 Firewire import bia)
I installed the latest chipset drivers.
Have now even installed the demo of Magix Video Pro 1.5. The recording breaks after a short time S.da:
"CPU or RAM is too weak or small"
Here are the minimum Pre-requirements
> Intel Pentium IV or AMD Athlon s.1 GHz and higher (; DV to MPEG-2-> transcoding / screen capturing at least 2 GHz are recommended)
> 512 MB of RAM
> 1 GB of free hard disk space and DVD drive for the> program installation

Recently had an EX-3 on loan - which can take up FullHD.
Via slot, I had imported the material = the files.
The play was possible without any problems!
Is my laptop just too weak to capture of HD via firewire??

(and I have already tried: Vegas, Liquid, HDV Split, VideoStudio X2 everything via firewire - all without success or with image problems sim. Dropped frames - but they are not ...)
