I have a Magix Video deluxe 15 and a Canon HV30, after I get my HDV material to the PC via firewire transfer have often choppy and the picture I have the video stop and start again will return it for a short time is unnecessary. have a dell laptop with a 1.8 GHz Intel centrino duo cpu 2 GB of RAM and a 160 GB hard drive but the videos are on an external 1TB of Western Digital hard disk which I transferred over a USB 2.0 connected voted. My editing software is so that it is a folder on the 1TB hdd creates and stores. my graphics card is a laptop graphics card an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M.
why it is so jerky with me? it is s.meinem pc because it is too slow or because of the st exernen hdd? you need a graphics card with hd support? can one help me where the problem might lie?

Hardware!
HD requires at least (!) Highend equipment and even then it is still partially restricted.
There are currently no adequate hardware on the market in order to easily edit HD.
If you have a lot of HD work with you and your work a little easier, then there are two options for you:
1. Hardware retrofit
2. In a program change, which is used for the HD processing is optimized, for example. Pro X of Magix (currently * the * program with the best price-/Leistungsverhältnis)
And VDL 15 on each case more than in order, but ultimately it's still Pro X the icing on the cake, called "requirements"
