Hello!
I had put on me recently a Dr. Bott "mini display port + USB to HDMI Adaper" to my iMac to connect s.einen new LCD TV. Meaning and purpose of the whole is to HD video, which I cut using Final Cut Studio, while it is processing s.TV-view monitor. Unfortunately, the whole works, but not the way I imagine it.
Although the MDP adapter provides me with different video resolutions, including the synonymous of me required 720p and 1080i. Unlike 720p is 1080i but only at the repetition rate 60 Hz selectable, 50 Hz, however, the "grayed out", that is not selectable. Since they correspond to the European PAL system, but would be just the 50 Hz is very important for my work.
Only this: According to Apple Support the problem is either the adapter or the TV monitor, at Dr. Bott, however, one says "Mac OS X will decide depending on the angeschlossnen TV screen that displays what resolution combinations."
Personally, I rule out that the problem lies in the LCD TV. The user manual of the device has expressly been supported 1080i 50 Hz from video resolution. naja so the image will probably think you want the 2nd display as a computer monitor and not use as a tv monitor. then possibly decide the Final Cut Pro, if you are updating the video devices. otherwise you'd have to possibly copiers rely on a trick and the mac with violent teach the graphic output with 50hz. I do not know whether this is that running 2 displays refresh rate with distinctive parallel. the problem is possibly synonymous s.hdmi. via vga pal always comes when you have a European adapter.
