Hello,
I have before me a new camera soon to buy. I currently film with a Canon XM2, but would like some future professional work. I would Camera film inserts primarily for extreme sports in the area need, they should therefore be flexible and robust synonymous halfway. Very interesting for me if it would be synonymous with one more frames per second for slow motion video recordings could.
At the moment I would look at the Canon XL H1 and the prestigious SonyPMW EX3. What would you say to me because for a camera in this price class (or synonymous cheaper;)) recommend? Bring a change lens when shooting for so great benefits, or what the individual cost Lenses then? Is it wise now an HD cam to buy (post?), Or should I still prefer to use older models?

The next is probably still the XL H1, which, however, no "real" camcorder is shoulder and no swivel display is in addition to viewfinders. Above all it is missing but the hybrid recording function on tape and CF card in HDV, DV and the S270. Nothing against the H1, but since the election I would not be hard ;-)

mhm, yes, the H1 is synonymous not my first choice, but I would have an opportunity for some Canon cameras günsiger to get. That makes the whole content again interesting for me ... Otherwise, there is no other of Canon cameras in the League of H1 when I was right, huh?

+ Genuine shoulder construction
+ Four sound channels
+ Simultaneous recording on two media and / or in two formats
+ Recording on tape can be easily and securely archived
+ Continuous recording for several hours without changing the recording medium
+ Simple and proven workflow
Others speak more freely again for the EX family. Since only one can even consider what the respective needs s.besten suited. Or just save on the PDW-700, which pretty much offers everything you could wish for: Sorry, but it goes beyond the 10-under 000 is too much.

Why difficult? So I feel with heavier cameras on their shoulders quite well, which brings a degree of stability. And the advantage is when one is elected by the battery V-mount synonymous much more flexible. Incidentally, I recommend Swit.
The Canon of things can I personally do not suffer, do not know what quality they have. The Sonyhab me a few days ago views. That which has quite fine. Except for the viewfinders. But the Canon is synonymous with not just better.
Lightweight cameras have their permission, who they like to have me, is for a Canon XL1 or similar just nothing.
