Frage von Daniel:Hello,
I hope I'm right here in the forum! :-)
I have the following problem:
I connect a camcorder via firewire s.den PC. Windows will detect what was plugged in and installed the drivers. (Balloontip Camcorder with names) with subsequent success message! The comic is displayed in Device Manager, a Panasonic DV camcorder.
Now when I start the program ShowBiz (ArcSoft) tells me that the software does not connect to the camera can be built. Same Camera with the same cable s.einem Calculator with others, that same software works without any problems! Wrong cable or camera defect can therefore Exclude. Here, too, is displayed in Device Manager, Panasonic DV camcorder! But there is not synonymous with the options in this program I can select the camera. Windows Movie Maker does not recognize synonymous Camera!
I have been more synonymous 1394 map set onto mainboard, unfortunately, None of the cards with the camera! Several cameras can not bring success!
Camera: JVC GR-DV Digital 4000E
Grundig DLC 1500
System: Windows XP SP2
Asus V8460 Ultra graphics card v45
IEEE: NEC OHCI compliant IEEE 1394 controller
I hope you have some tips for me!
Daniel

System: Windows XP SP2 Hi Daniel,
the quoted aspect will most likely be your problem.
See the following posts:
"
Ist das Service Pack 2 daran schuld???
"
If FireWire does not (properly) PS: If the IEEE1394 card (s) OHCI-capable, no driver installation required!

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the tip with the Service Pack 2! That was exactly it! 've Uninstalled it and again everything went! The funny thing is that the SP2 for months on the calculator and is only now that the problems have occurred. That would be in life, I do not have guessed that it is the SP2!
Thank you again for your tip and the links!

Hi All,
I would like to again take up this thread because my problem is almost identical ... if synonymous half years later.
I connect a newly purchased Canon MV900 camcorder via firewire to acquired (extra - OHCI-compatible) s.den PC. The work of CC is shown. When you first try the middle of January can be recorded from the camcorder to import video using Magix 2007 and recorded with a camcorder can be synonymous controlled from a PC. Fourteen days later (at the next try!) No longer works.
While it is displayed in Device Manager under Imaging Devices a Canon DV camcorder (if it is on). But if I want to import pictures, there's an error message (the lack of drivers ... but this is nonsense.)
The Windows Movie Maker on my PC recognizes the camera does not synonymous.
Same Camera with the same cable Calculator s.einem other works without problems! Wrong cable or camera defect can therefore Exclude. Here, too, appears in the Device Manager of the Canon MV900 camcorder!
I then deleted the SP2 times ... nothing.
I downloaded and installed it from scratch and ... nothing.
Have the system to the earliest restore point (22.2. Set) ... nothing.
I upgraded in that time of IE6 to IE7, if I remember correctly. Should I still uninstall synonymous?
What is the crazy: Since the day synonymous does my Canon scanner anymore. It will also (if activated) detected by Device Manager () under Imaging Devices, but when I think about my photo editing software would scan something, there's the error message: Insufficient memory available (also rubbish!)
Well yesterday I had to grow a new printer, the weill (one year) Garatiefall old one was. And since it was a good opportunity, I have gained a Canon MP510 with my scanner. Thought, a new scanner would not hurt. But with the this I feel as with the other Canon scanners. The printer itself works fine.
With several days before I phoned the Canon support. They've never heard anything like it ... know any solution.
Should I take a rope to me now or do I have my four years old replace it with a new PC??
I hope that me both are spared. ;-)
Greeting
Kirsten

I upgraded in that time of IE6 to IE7, if I remember correctly. Yes, they love updates! Probably I just read a No, but I must nevertheless ask the question: Do you have an image that would replay itself in three minutes?
