Question for the conversion of. Ts files with SUPER

Absorbed in my Festplattenrecoder characterized. Ts file format from. It covered about 2GB per hour of Exempt film. I would now (like those files with the software s.PC SUPER shrink something, bring about 800MB) and at the same time or in another format.
I now have time tentatively selected as the container than AVI and DIVX Codec. What bit rate settings you can recommend for this? If I use a bitrate of 4032, I get a good picture, but a file that is much too large. I use a bitrate of 1008 is the file small, but the picture is lousy.
Can anyone of you recommend a bit rate that provides a good balance between quality and file size? There is another compression option, which offers a good quality in smaller file size compared to DIVX (; as h.264, etc)?

There are no Allgemeinbitrate for a balanced quality, because it all depends on the material.

If you want to have a good relationship between file size and quality, then you have to encode quality characteristics. DivX is a mode for which the "Constant quantizer" calls. Always so much bit rate is used as the material it just needs to look good. The "Constant Quantizer" of DivX technology is rather inefficient, as synonymous with fast movements in which one of his human eyes could not see any details before gotten more bitrate than would be necessary.
x264 has a mode for this area of the CRF (Constant Rate Factor is called) and much more efficiently. h.264 (which is incidentally the codec - x264 is the freeware encoder More) also provides better quality compared with the same size with the old H.263 codecs (DivX, XviD), but not be limited to hardwarehungriger and DivX-compatible play DVD player (there are, however, external hard disks that can be connected s.den TV - make that).
