Hi folks,
times because I had a question about the capture on the PC.
I have an old Panasonic DV cam, but where the DV - Out defective. The part, however, in my view, a very ordinary Picture (purely for pictures of the dog, etc. I need not HighEnd Cam)
Now my question: I have a Leadtek WinTV card in the calculator, where I watch the videos via SVHS capture can. I always capture MPEG2 (DVD standard)
Are there huge differences in quality to DV - Out?
I think the file size alone is obviously enormous. In MPEG2 I get much smaller files.
Nevertheless, I find the recordings are still very good.
Kann mir da mal a fundamental difference be explained?

Kann mir da mal a fundamental difference be explained? It is obviously not better, but honestly, we have at some point the daily news-and EVN records of BetaSP to a DVD recorder and the shifts you have all been seen in the news. So, for the ambitious amateur with no money, why not?

it does not speak very much opposed to MiniDV recordings on an analog cable (or more precisely: Y / C cable) to transfer. However, I would the digitization process and more attention to the TV card forgotten. For more info you can find in the linked articles.
