Frage von urmel:Hello folks!
I have at a time DV editing s.PC gerlernt as DV and DVD have not really been an issue. Now I have job to do again, I take care of me, almost incidentally, to various problems that occur when film projects (actually, I work mainly as a graphic designer in print).
Despite the knowledge base, there are always questions that synonymous to prolonged Rechereche for me is not 100% answered, such as the following:
(Forgive me if this has been answered already somewhere - then I could not be found)
If I had a mini-DV camcorder with a simple (here SonyDCR PC-100) and a JVC SR-VS 10 (Recorder with Mini DV and S-VHS shaft) via firewire copy, I get an exact 1:1 copy?
Can s.Format (16:9 or 4:3) to change something, because the signal through an image processing chip is running, or simply, the data directly?
Background: The two devices have no explicit 16:9 mode. We have copies of a 16:9 Mini DV tapes (produced as above) s.zwei television affiliate.
Transmitter 1 says that the material was in AVID software loaded and looks like the perfect 16:9 material.
Transmitter 2 says: format would be distorted (quote "pulled 4:3 to 16:9, but then .... off to 4:3 horizontally squashed")
But as I said copies of the same tape.
If I get the question bantworten definitely could, it would greatly help me.
Many greetings,
Holger

Can s.Format (16:9 or 4:3) to change something, because the signal through an image processing chip is running, or simply, the data directly? If you have 16:9 material as 4:3 material reward, there is the typical compression. On the original material is not changed, only the interpretation of the pixel aspect ratio is wrong.
Transmitter 2 says: format would be distorted (quote "pulled 4:3 to 16:9, but then .... off to 4:3 horizontally squashed") Stupid. DV PAL is always 720x576, both at 4:3 than 16:9 are synonymous in the pixels are not square. Without knowing the material, I suppose: If Channel 2 is not a technician responded.

Thank you!
Then I understood it well. The presentation s.Screen depends ultimately only s.Trägersignal (or elected s.dem manual mode), right?
Since the video-PC is currently only an older portable monitor hangs, I can not so easily check that the correct signal 16:9 makers in the film material is included.
In principle it would be for reading in the editing software but no synonymous preference, right? Premiere pulls imported material eh yes always on the entire surface, Avid probably synonymous (? - Unfortunately did not Avid software). At least it should be m. E. somehow be possible, synonymous with no material carrier signal next to process correctly.
Many greetings,
