Hello,
erstaml Praise s.dieses a great forum - I've just read here the last few hours spent with me and it has been weitergeholfen much.
I am looking for a film Beginners and miniDV. I have such a cam while gereitzt already iommen, but the real impetus came only now that I want to banish my baby on DVD :-)
After browsing this forum, and a little Googling, I decided on the Panasonic NV-GS280 - or rather, as good as decided.
But I have a few questions on this:
1. I'm going to probably soon a 42 "plasma TV grow (Pana PV60). I have read that with some LCD and plasma are problems or a tube TV would be better. Because then I place the DVDs in a synonymous reasonable quality look on the plasma?
2. Do I still need accessories to get the images for editing on the PC? I have a fairly current PC, but no firewire card for example.
3. I've read here somewhere that there are problems with the WinXP drivers for the Pana camcorder. What exactly is it all about and there are already solutions for this now?
4. I found a dealer that offers the camera in different bundles. Because the bag and the first 5 MiniDV tape is it so clear - I'll take the course with .... but it still synonymous bundles are offered with additional battery (DU14 and DU21) and / or 1GB SD. I think the SD is needed only for photos, right? That would be less interesting. What is with the battery? As long as a normal battery last?
5. I like to have the movies always dub on the PC and burn to DVD. Accordingly, then yes, I can re-record on the tapes again, right? How often can I do this without a noticeable loss of quality to have?
6. Does anyone still nen tip for a cheap or maybe even Free-/Shareware-Software, with which one can make the first steps in film processing?
I guess one or the other question is already answered here, perhaps somewhere .... synonymous, I had a lot more questions, but most here I've got through reading already been answered - only the few are still left to halt left.

The achievable quality of your future depends usof from plasma TV. I now own such a Television and of course good looks much better than the original image noise in recording. Particularly for large screen sizes. ;-)

Firewire is a duty, not a real test. Retrofitting is easy and very inexpensive. See

A spare battery is also a must. Because at some point you're traveling with the camcorder and lookest suddenly into a dark viewfinder. ;-)

MiniDV tapes use more than once is worth at a purchase price of ¬ 2-3 per piece not. Dear archived.

The Windows Movie Maker might be enough to make the first steps / sections in terms of video editing. Other software I mention in my post linked above.
Another very important accessory is a video tripod. These views use the search function with the term "Velbon". ;-)

Driver problems?
The only thing was the Probelm Manual (Pana 250) - phew almost made me afraid. Because of that was written and the Drivers. Confusing. I then simply times the Cam via firewire plugged tattttaaaaaa and worked without any drivers. (Win XP SP2)
MagixMovieMaker I can recommend. The only thing that annoys me s.dem thing is that films are shown on the notebook, despite normal format in 16:9. Presumably, the header information in the file will be written differently than Windows would like. I work with prefer to defy Magix. Save the movies stop exporting uncompressed s.and then from Adobe. When I'm s.nen hex editor, I'm going to get to the bottom.
