Evening,
I have the following problem:
I want to with multiple cameras to record an event.
1. How can I as a "recording head" all the camera signals received on the laptop? It must not be cut live. I am only drum that I can see what the others just begin. What cable do I need to do so. I would prefer analog because Firewire at greater distances will be too expensive.
2. How can I access the camera people keep language contact? Not on radio, but via headsets. Is that everything on the laptop. (All the men stuck their camera there is a headset and then I can talk with those ...)
Geht sowas (stupid question, does that clear, but how?)

Hello,

several analog signals s.PC show is not so readily available. While there are possibilities, but cost a lot.
Easier would be several Television or video monitors, or a multiplexer (Quadsplitter) of multiple signals on a television or monitor can display. Ebay costs around ¬ 20. Is probably the cheapest option.
Intercom: There are professional intercom solutions, but cost a lot. But in the rental's quite cheap to rent.
Alternatively, a headphone amplifier. The input along with a micro preamp outputs s.die normal Headphones connect. Is synonymous the easiest option. Is not a back channel of the cameras.
But something s.PC, there really nothing, especially inexpensive.
Wiring is simple, each camera and a video cable a headphone cable.

In this case, a simple composite video cable and the camcorder in Television Directing. Maybe you can preview several windows created by you experiment with different programs, which will all run simultaneously and need not be mutually may hinder. This a test I had done here: Laptop with live camera switch. Wise A / D converter with Firewire connection but are then required.
