Frage von McPhisto:Hi Folks,
I have a (maybe simple, maybe unsolvable) issue.
We can shoot with my cover band a gig,
And now the video files have a. mov provided.
And especially with the material from a cam, I was very dissatisfied.
All others have actually met the expectations so far.
Now I have some of the material from this same cam on the MacBook
saw my friend, and because the picture was perfect.
Played with the 0815 Quicktime Player.
The same file with the 0815 play Quicktime Player on my PC brings a totally pixelated result ... I do not understand.
So .... I mean minimal differences I can find out even more,
but the picture quality on my Calculator is compared to the picture on the Mac, my friend, not nearly the half (I know ... this is extremely subjective statement ne ...)
Does anybody advice?
Thank you

In QuickTime Player, there is an option that the "High Quality" mode enabled. Thereafter, especially DV files look like what they should look like.
So he can be activated:
You go to the player
- Edit> Preferences -> Quicktime Player Settings
And the new menu, choose "High quality show if available" off.
This is synonymous everything.
And for next time, just take the VLC;)

Many people do not update their Windows QT player regularly, or not deal with its default settings, which may have influence on the quality of reproduction. Macs have default to a strange sinking monitor gamma (1.8), which may mean that the same video can appear dark on a PC. A player that delivers, in my experience on both platforms Pi mal Daumen identical images, is the popular VLC.
