Hello, I have the free version of quicktime 7 (current). now I've been trying dozens taken runterzurechnen my 3min filmchen dv files on web. (Comparison: If I eg create wmv files, they are usually large 5mb)
if I have any codecs (except sorenson3, jpg or h.351) take it and turn up the compression so I never get below a certain factor (similar file is zb) 50mb in size.
s.einem certain degree of compression (or data rate reduction) nothing happens. So files with 30% and 5% over the same compression codecs are IDENTICAL in size (mb).
what liegts?
I use premiere pro (cleaner) or afterfx.

If you can compress it better then compress it to WMV WMV!
Quicktime before I find bad wenns to strong compression goes.

Quicktime is actually very good in compression, and it is no coincidence that always come as movie trailers in Quicktime. In contrast to WMV is the compression codecs with professional fee.

I get 3min clips in QT without cause by 1MB, wenns should be. Beautiful is synonymous of Apple Compressor, where you can do batch conversions, and coding can save presets.
