You can durchschicken the clip eg by Scenalyzer. Which then separates from the start date. The free, older version is sufficient and you do not need the shareware Sclive (although synonymous not hurt)

How long do these tapes?
With what I know about tapes in general, should these small and very thin tapes after 5 years of storage, without rewinding have been a lot of mistakes.

would need only a small tip: How do I import my avi because that is situated on the HDD? hab grad mal live with drawn .. And what I need to click as if you'd be so kind:)

My oldest DV tapes are of 1999. Until now, no failure to complain, no drop-outs ... And never rewound.
