Sounds good, but the technology is really so new? No clue. New is probably the DIY aspect. It might be cybernetic form of Steadicam. As we Maschwitz says in his
DV Rebel Stu, is the major problem of a freehand camera work - even a Steadicam synonymous stabilized by - the rotation. Would not it be fantastic to have located the rig on the shoulder, and a small robot-head, on which the camera is screwed, keeps the camera still in 0,0,0? What in terms of speed can make robots, you can for example
Antwort von pilskopf:
Except that a robot does not know how to s.end the film cuts like a drama based MSAN and the difference between an onion and a violin you must program it only once synonymous, then the flute comes into play, it fails just as if a green apple comes into play. Robots are only as good as they were programmed.
I think the thing now is not bad but the idea yes weltbewgend not synonymous. Whether the thing works synonymous with a black? : D Thats it only recently that a Web Cam was able to follow the faces had failed in a black man.

So the issue is neither new, nor is the CUDA code's motion-tracking is particularly complex. That would have been synonymous with well can make a normal CPU. The thing works well if the object is large enough to be pursued. If the picture but move several objects or they are too small, the algorithm fails. Here come the aspect of image understanding into the game that is synonymous not yet been satisfactorily solved. You may not synonymous with such procedures Lächelautomatik confused with the current cameras!
We have developed some time ago to a remote head, which with the help of accelerometers can orient in space and can hold such a position reasonably stable. Really perfect, this solution has never been and why we still synonymous gyro stabilizers (gyroscopes) in use.

Antwort von Axel:
Therefore, we have still synonymous gyro stabilizers (gyroscopes) in use. 've Just googled already and am completely over the moon. Have only had this in mind for the Tuscany-flying scenes from Tykwer's
, where the helicopter is s.einem Camera, with such a ball in between. Apart of the unfiltered Gyro + Steadicam-hits: Can you show me any meaningful link? DIY probably would be too much to ask?
Antwort von deti:
So technically the whole thing is very simple: This gyro stabilizers are nothing but very well balanced flywheels, which have been directly on the axle of an electric motor with high speed is applied. By a very high inertia remains the disc at high speed are stable in space (eg, everyone knows the effect of a bicycle wheel). This disc brings you as above or below the camera, in order to discourage the displacement in the horizontal. Thus, the system can now maintain its position in space, it is connected s.einer gimbal suspension with the moving object (such as airplane, helicopter, a Spidercam ropes, etc.). Done.

The build yourself is absolutely no problem - one would have to really just a floating stand with fitted top. This much is important that the gyro is balanced very well, for the necessarily high speeds, otherwise incurred massive vibrations. A housing around the flywheel can help prevent injuries ;-)
The solutions with Gyroskop-/Beschleunigungssensoren and servo motors are nice and easy, but unfortunately too slow for quick jerking as they arise s.Board of vehicles.

I make automated video surveillance, and there is not such a new tracking thing.
Since then, however, distinctions, whether it is a eFahne in the wind, is a person or vehicle or otherwise makes something special.
Since brauchts lot of punch ...
Otherwise NEN old hat.
