Frage von Heitzer:Hello my friends
I have a big problem ....
Recently, my father died and he had an old VHSC Camera and a few movies to do so. Now I want them to bring about my calculator or on CD / DVD but no plan how to do that ...
I have been looking with no end in the net and am usually met with a firewire card, but s.dem old thing, only RCA outputs which s.der Firewire card are not available ...
Then I read that I can make it on my GraKa, which has a TV - RCA - out and have my sound card with a 3.5 to RCA adapter ...
But how in God's name I find the movie on the camera??
For XP, the camera like a USB stick??
Do I have any program to save the film??
Can I see the movie then save on the media player and??
I beg to really understand the help ...
Thanks, Jörg

Hello,
I would recommend you take a DVD recorder and transfer the entire DVD movies. This is will (the foolproof way, do not be an idiot) present AETL to get digital to analog film.
Alternate method:
A / D converters take. Capture (= save) on graphics cards is good for nothing, if ever works (picture and sound).
You still think Mark is perfect with a few links from the FAQ, etc. supply ;-)

I want to thank many thousand times for the fast help, and enclose your forum to introduce our Board Commends yet ....
But there's one thing I would have .....
Do I need to purchase the DVD of the eighth record for something specific??
Or because you only need a cheap option, such as LG or Silver Tronic??
Antwort von Phyro-Mane:
As bad as Steve, it is but it is not.
Have often Haupauge on my TV card cecaptured.
clear, the quality is not the charm, but what is already out that VHS is a very old and absolutely no-longer befitting format.
That one, the only external analog signal digitally convert and then via firewire to feed must be nonsense.
Here is synonymous quite a good article on analog capture:

If you still want to make movies I can tell you one thing installments:
You purchase an actual camcorder. Even the best models have a much better picture quality than VHS, it has the old kit.

I would advise you to a reputable brand name equipment. I have now two models of Panasonic, I have not regretted their purchase. Here in the forum you to find an additional positive feedback on their DVD / DVD-/Festplattenrecorder.

If you get everything from old recordings, or / and want to cut the scenes, you might get a synonymous A / D converter (ADVC-300 on loan with noise filter and timebase corrector). Possible suppliers:

I can not believe that you get here so quickly and then help pinpoint ...
I have internalized my views and contributions must say that I would not dare to be great change ...
It is so only on some tapes, there are multiple events on it, but I can cut by switching off the recording, there is an event on each CD ....
I can thank nurnoch many times for the fast help with security and would fall back frequently on this board (Forum) ....
