Hi slashcamler
I want to finally set an audio equipment for my XH-A1 and I came across the Rode NTG-2.
Most of all I would, of course, the microphone would be used for every conceivable purpose, but in the foreground are the following applications:
- Scenic shots (Mik s.Tonangel)
- Theatre records
- Interviews / Comments
Is this microphone my tastes and demands?
Or are there good alternatives?
More than 200 ¬ I can not spend, unfortunately.

for such purposes you can use the NTG-2 well.
Basically you can take the synonymous NTG-1, if you still have phantom power available .. again a few Euronen cheaper and partly with the same offered to a Deadcat in the bay.
Apparently the bundle offers are no longer in it but at the moment.
Alternatives: The Economics of Sennheiser ME66 ala + power adapter and Co.

In your price range may be the NTG-2 the best.
If you always have phantom power, it does sound identical synonymous the NTG-1. This is a few inches shorter, since it has no battery compartment.

Then my prior research, seem to have been not entirely wrong!
I think I'll buy it but would prefer the NTG-2, so I stay flexible ...
How does it look really out with the cables? In thomann.de I can do right now to NTG XLR cable and have the choice between Cordial, Pro Snake or summer. to pay the higher price of a summer cable look like?

When NTG2 it is highly recommended to have an angled times s.Kabel. Otherwise the construction is fast longer than the entire camera. And with a similar Deadcat one has at Wide Angle Always good view of the pompom. So consider synonymous with a "renewal" to increase the micro-holder!
