Frage von Auf Achse:Hello!
If the rotation of the rings really standardized or cooks every Manufacturer on one string?
LG, on axis
Antwort von djscorcher25:
I go out the views of all that is standardized. I am still not accommodated camera, where the focus suddenly running the other way.
That would be bad indeed synonymous, because one learns to deal with and if a cam to another would suddenly everything upside down, then people are still the same camera would work if the technology in the company is once converted. At the same zoom and aperture.
Antwort von Mantas:
nikon photo optics are at the zoom ring at the other way around as canon (I do not know if ever).
and the -3 to +3 setting synonymous wrong, completely idiotic ...
Antwort von Bernd E.:
A standard since I do not know, either in the photo area, where there are definitely differences (comparative times, as already mentioned, optics of Nikon and Canon!), Nor in camcorders. Since today is much more synonymous not directly solved mechanically, there are some camcorders even the possibility of rotation, for example, the aperture wheel to program freely. An example would be the Panasonic HMC151.
Even with the use of Hinterkamerabedienungen, no preference whether LANC or Fujinon professional systems - and Canon Lenses, the cameraman can set the rotation for the zoom.
... If cam at another suddenly everything upside would, they would be all the same camera people unemployed, when the technology changed over time in the company is ... As bad as it is now synonymous not: Getting umzugewöhnen there should not overwhelm cameraman. Lorry drivers have so synonymous not just terminate their job, just because the new tractor, a different circuit.

On axis achso like, actually the last answer you already. So, if the rotation is standardized, I know now not synonymous.
But I, I come with the default rotation of the rings, the XH-A1, their successors with the (s) you've got, not so rightly. So I've changed the direction of rotation - in my brain turns's just different :-)
Therefore, a great feature, which offers the XH-A1.
Antwort von chris_d:
Is def. not standardized!
For Canon and Nikon lenses, the focus ring rotates in the same direction. (At least where I hab)
I have 14 + 85mm of Samyang and the turn right in the other direction as Canon and Nikon!
It is already getting used to - especially if you quickly to the other of a change your Optics.

Hello!
Thanks for the info it, I suspected and feared! I ask why because I noticed that the ring of the Panasonic SD 707 exactly at the Aperture works the other way than with the XH-A1.
I would prefer if that were all the same cameras no preference which one has degree in hand. That would finally a sensible standard .....

... The Canon and Nikon lenses, the focus ring rotates in the same direction. (At least where I did) ... Amazing! Actually, it was decades ago so that Canon and Nikon in almost everything that moved, had opposing directions: aperture ring, focus, and even the lens mount. Third party manufacturers like Sigma, or just today synonymous Samyang were thus forced either to make two versions or have to live with it, that turned their lenses s.einem of the two systems in the "wrong" direction. I'd be really interested in what you have there Lenses for Comparison.
... Have 14 + 85mm of Samyang and the turn right in the other direction as Canon and Nikon ... For what port you have the Samyang? The product photos after it seems to be at least in the 14er two different variants: the two do have the aperture ring in Nikon-orientation, but the focus ring rotates just as synonymous with the original optics: infinite s.linken end of the scale at Samyang for Nikon and s. right end of the Samyang for Canon.
