My DV cam synonymous nen would output ... is this really quality in comparison to s-video better or worse '?
Antwort von GhostDog:
oh god !!!!!!!
Guess which is better:
analog -> digital ---> analog -> digital
or
analog -> digital
It probably is better? dv-pal or analog material?
Antwort von Jan:
Hello,
So it would be better quality digital via firewire () the film dubbing (Capture)
But you need a little time as 60 minutes to bring movie - 60min Überspielungzeit lasts.
Everything you need is available in:
FireWire FAQ">St. Mark's help capturing
In the analog S video, the possibilities would be best, unfortunately, not the sound is transmitted (eg with extra jack)
If the picture would be synonymous s.ferseher black white, everything is clear then it is usually a pin (of the color signals transmitted) bent. If your problem must lie s.einer setting your card's can not say for sure.

Lol, was fuer ne silly question!

Hey Patrick,
are not stupid people who ask. There are those who do not ask.
Remind yourself time: How do you know that digital video recordings will be transferred via Firewire? (When I had this answer at least not genetically predisposed ;-) And that a fresh-is Videographer in a forum like this looking for when he is not the problem with the search term "capturing" or "Firewire" encounter? As is often the same questions ...
Antwort von closeup25:
Firewire is preferable to S-Video In any case, but of course only if it is available! S-Video is not a bad signal, because it transmits at least separate brightness and color values. But this is probably synonymous with the reason for the failure of the S / W-representation. There are many reasons for this: Broken or bent pins, broken cable, or simply an incorrect setting of the video card, which presumably interpret a simple composite picture (or F-Bas, where brightness and color) are transmitted over a line. Result: There are only interpreted brightness values and ignore the line with the color values.

Echt super of the forum here ...'d not expected such a rapid response :-) na me then I'll probably times to take home a cable output for the DV time ... I hope the net will cost so much ... liegtn price range in which the way?
Antwort von Markus:
This is very different (depending on the brand synonymous or not) and Dealers. "A few euro would be" I say. As a rule, is at an IEEE1394 card for 15 euros a suitable cable.
My tip: Take a cable that makes a good impression. Eighth in particular the quality and processing times.
