Frage von cidercyber:my camcorder (Panasonic DVC30) sent via the DV-Firewire Output Picture and sound good on the Mac, my (older) peripheral devices, however, the signal processing but not complete: it shows the Grundig S-VHS video recorder to connect the camcorder via the S-Video Cable (Vivanco, yellow marker s.Male) a nice color picture is silent, but the sound, the "S-terminal" on older Loewe Television shows only a B / W Picture and remains synonymous flatly, is the S - Video Port s.Camcorders not compatible with these devices? Thanks for your help!
Antwort von Markus:
Hello,
S-video (= Y / C) provides only video but no sound.
For Y / C are brightness ( "mono-Picture transfer") and chrominance separately. If the Y / C signal via scart adapter into an older VCR fed (which is no Y / C mean) that appears only in black and white picture accordingly. Take a color image to transmit a composite cable (CVBS = = "yellow RCA plug).
