Frage von F.B.:I Have a connection from a standalone DVD player to the TV card via S-video cable running hergestellt.Der sound separately on RCA times in the sound card. I can now play movies from DVD Players and on TV via PC card does not aufnehmen.Ist the most common method but it funzt. Picture is top. My question: in this way could still circumvent any copy protection or am I typing wrong?
Antwort von steveb:
if you aim to macrovison .. a yes. It is ultimately an analog copy. If you need to duplicate anything digital, we recommend dvdshrink.
Antwort von Stefan:
Yes .... you type incorrect. In any case, generally flat and seen ;-)
"Proper" TV cards or graphics cards with video input detect an analog copy protection signal when the video signal is synonymous with S-video into the card. The chip on the card should be prevented, in conjunction with the software drivers have a recording.
Good luck

because it was not only regarding the issue (of the PC to the TV) a problem?
I have been using for many years an ATI All-In-Wonder, VIVO, which activates only when the output of the Macrovision. When recording from VHS eg, there was never a problem.hmmm .... informs me on .. :-)
Antwort von Stefan:
Be happy and laugh and go carefully with the card to, so that you can use it for a long time.

Antwort von steveb:
no ... do not believe s.Zufälle or the like ... but I am not talking about the output from the input. Accordingly, the above-mentioned projects would indeed synonymous with eg external capture box (canopus, etc.) do not work. Macrovision is (imho) only s.TV / video output created.
Antwort von Stefan:
Yes, input, synonymous, I mean.
For a more familiar "standalone" Canopus box first generation, there was even an unofficial, under the hand passed Dip Switch Einstelltipp to bypass this feature when recording analog / digitization of material to DV material cough ... uh These boxes are synonymous aufhebenswert ;-)
Maybe you can even tie s.Herstellungsdatum the card / box, whether the unwanted "feature" is present. 2003 was indeed the prohibition of circumvention of a technically effective copy protection enshrined in U.S. law. And I guess that the industry has pulled gerätemäßig. As such, it would be explainable if your "many years" used card input still "open" is.
Good luck
