The sequential numbering works then probably only with an SD card. Once more this is no longer used are quite possible if the information is stored on the numbering on each SD card.
This is really nonsense ... the Canon 50D I can set the info for numbering in the camera. The photos are numbered in ascending order no preference how many FC cards I use and how often I reformat.
