Hello, I have a general question I am interested in flames. Namely: "Can Scart switch boxes such as this be harmful for device"?
Antwort von nicecam:
Hello Atarix777,
I myself have 2 similar manual switch boxes in use. I can be used synonymous for copying, your probably seems to support only the switching.
For me it works like this: A switch box is s.PC. The video preview is running with me at present still more than a tube TV that only has one Scart connection. And with the box I'll get the signal times the graphics card, or synonymous using my Canopus ADVC 300 via firewire. Works without problems.
Elsewhere s.Television (also hanging with only one scart connection) 2 DVD player and 1 VCR. Also since the switch works without problems for years.
Problems may cause more auto switch boxes, because they do not sometimes do what is required of them. Or so says the computer guru Michael Nickles.
And probably is not advisable synonymous of pure Scart distributors, because you must turn off when using the same individual connected devices on or off as needed.

As long as) the individual devices are not directly connected to each other (ie if + to + take when switching between two devices, everything should go fine.
And even if that happens, there will surely break anything.
Since the picture is in between black, is probably the one device, the first separated completely before another opens.
