Frage von oliver heyer:hi
I'm looking for a very very good mpeg codec. I do not know, probably have the standard install for me. I use pro-coder of uncomressed to convert avi to MPEG 2nd I suppose as a setting: vbr, 7mbit, 2pass. the result is good (small file, quali ok), but not convincing. have motion menus with After Effects built. there are many animated graphics in it. to see not so smart after render from. Also, the color in the clip slightly changed.
So, what codec to use the professionals?
thanx oli

have the "dvd-mastering" targets of pro-coder used. what do you mean with TV-/DVD-Vorgaben (usFarbraum, dynamics)? I can adjust in procoder or should I already s.bei in the production of such things to look out for?

Hello,
if a lot of movement in the video, then cbr setting.

achso, vbr I thought would be the optimum in terms of compression. because the codec auto s.die visual information to adapt?
Klär me something to ask why exactly cbr at much movement. what the shit looks like synonymous, are patterns and soft edge mask after compressing.

CBR would be the case only if what you bring enough space to do consistently with the highest possible bitrate to encode. Otherwise, with 2-pass VBR the means of choice. Then, depending on what you've set in areas with a lot of movement and the bit rate increases in areas with little movement lowered. The whole thing is moving in the middle order as the average value.
Beezüglich your color, you should time yourself with the two filters Expand Shrink Color Space and Color Space from the ProCoder apart, which are there to convert the color space.

CBR would be the case only if what you bring enough space to do consistently with the highest possible bitrate to encode. And so it is synonymous with many productions sense. On a single DVD you get so still over an hour video, even when double about 2 hours.
Since many projects are less likely to be extended VBR only the time, but the quality is (thanks to the same peak bit rate) is not better.
This is quite often ignored and assumed that in principle a VBR offers better quality than CBR.
So: If the space is simply 8MBit / s CBR take! If less bitrate available, then prefer VBR.

danke leute. learned something important ;-)
Such knowledge can be synonymous in books to read, or are all good experience? in our uni-bibo gibts nix zum thema video encoding :-(

otherwise remains just yet ... Try it:)
Just try different things, test versions to install and look etc with what you'll s.glücklichen ...

Pressed only when you compress everything into the proper specifications, then change the brightness and color, if applicable, in apparent size. And that's not really what you want.
