through various tests, I believe I have the 5D Mark II herusgefunden that no true full-HD takes up but upscaled 1280 x 720.
Even Canon Germany had I consulted about it.
In the DSLR forum I have to put up a thread which has provoked a lively participation (to date 244 posts):

Anyone here know whether it views regarding a comparison of the sharpness vs.. another "regular" HD-Cam has given?
