I open this thread for people who are looking for lenses and inevitably stumble over these three Manufacturer.
I can contribute little to the topic because I almost exclusively work with Canon optics.
I was always put Tokina heart. Also what you can then read http://www.dslr-forum.de/ the Meihnungen are certainly tending to the Tokina lenses.
Now I would like to just ask the Slashcam round, for what your perso. Experiences have made and how you would position the Manufacturer to your experiences.

I am aware that the individual Meihnung in a forum may not be decisive evaluated.
But I think it would be nice if they would notify people with experience and share this with all users.
Maybe some of it may give a somewhat more objective overview.

Tokina A1 is a customer or Asahi? - That always gets nice streak of glass (better than Sigma or Tamron) and has plenty of experience.

Tokina is great handles and 1 A of the Optics. Somewhat cumbersome in the focus area, but otherwise Top
The Sigma was up for sale my cam my tele and fast the Nikon Tele, which I had before, equal.
The only drawback? was the AF speed, which came s.Nikons AF - S not approach.
Both I can recommend, however - especially compared to the financial aspect alone!

So I bought the Tokina 11-16mm before a month after I had only a manual 5mm 1.2 Porst for my 7D. Well, what can I say? That thing is awesome. Of course, we must make certain compromises when you're so far (curvature of the screen), but the Tokina of the price / performance / processing is not beating.
I would, if it is a good 70-200 of Tokina would buy this immediately and refrain from Sigma and Tamron.
In addition, I gained the impression that Tokina is already a level above the other two.

Yes Had only one of Tokina, but some of Sigma tested. One should try to Sigma but in any case, the parts previously s.der Cam, not all are as excellent as the tele-300s.

uwe Right - because there is in the "third party" every now and some really good lenses and synonymous which the stress is not necessarily special.
For my part I use very much like the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 and the VC 70-200mm 2.8 - class for portraits and in Comparison to the Nikkor a great price / performance ratio.
The 17-50s VC 2.8 I would therefore give a 2 + - Deductions are only due to the focus and stabilizer motor.
The 70-200s 2.8 a 2nd In aperture partially slightly soft, easy to use but abgeblendte very well here, and simply says the price for themselves.
And synonymous of Sigma 30mm 1.4 I have a great ... I had but once synonymous another 30mm 1.4er of Sigma s.dem I had ever fehlfokussierte images. So it seems indeed a certain series of scattering or the like to give.
Even the Sigma of me gets a 2 +. Super haptics of the lens, very lichstark, good imaging performance already at full aperture.
Therefore, it is quite difficult to make blanket statements.
What is with Tamron has not so elegant solution has more to do with the AF-motor ... shall we say hear of focusing while the equipment is operating or when the image stabilizer is active ... That could change if upcoming devices now come out with the USD engine.
At Sigma gibts some time the whispering and does his job well in my opinion:)
But as I said these are all just my personal experience!
So if you are looking for a specific lens, I would advise you to try out in the business itself

For me this is relatively straightforward.
Tokina is clearly the number 1, at least in terms of processing, vignetting, sharpness and distortion.
Luckily Tokina synonymous builds relatively few series, therefore, considers the series dispersion synonymous within bounds (; what you can not say of Sigma).
Tokina but hardly Vollformatobjektive's and it currently only do with Canon and Nikon cameras. Nikon user with models without autofocus motor synonymous look into the tube (; D 40, D 40 X, D 60 / D 3000 / D 5000), Tokina has not built up a separate AF motor.
Also Tokina speed engines are strangers, but they have different strengths.

I have the best experiences with tamron, sigma, I had tons of distortion and chromatic aberrations at tokina.
