Frage von Acer:Hello,
a buddy and I want to start to make movies. He has an analog Sony Handycam CCD-F450E, is almost broken: cassette compartment on net and in the Picture on the left to see three white stripes (at least) in the viewfinder?
Since he is VERY
conservative, he insists, with the many manual features equipped to repair and NOT a new cam to buy zun (supposedly the "digital" design shit). How much does it cost to repair? If the PAL 8mm quality
significantly worse than MiniDV?
Thanks in advance
Philip

How much does it cost to repair? I guess the repair would cost more than a cheap MiniDV device would still being clarified, whether the analog camcorder at all there spare parts.
If the PAL 8mm quality significantly worse than MiniDV? Yes, Video8 is
significantly worse than MiniDV. ;-)

Well, the new design of DigiCamcorder he seems to despise. Maybe I can foist him my old Panasonic NV-G101;.)

Well, the new design of DigiCamcorder he seems to despise. I can understand your buddies already. The small digital toys are not synonymous go s.mich. Because I was afraid it would break something if I want to record a scene. ;-)
The world's smallest camcorder in the consumer area that really appeals to me, is the SonyVX2100. That can be good in both hands, all the important controls are easily accessible outside of any touch-screens or menus and the display is synonymous usable in direct sunlight. There are all important connections (Lanc, Microphone, Video, Firewire), an ordinary accessory shoe and of course a handle.
The quality difference between an analog Video8-Camera and the VX2100 would be gigantic! * * schwärm Maybe your buddy already saving time begins at ...?! ;-)
